Tooth Fairy Magic

Brynkli is loosing her teeth left and right!
She has already lost her bottom 2... and now has 6 other teeth that she's workin' on!!
I keep begging her to let me pull them all,
I just think it'd be so cute to have a mouth full of NO TEETH!!
But she doesn't quite trust me with the plyers near her yet!

The New Weed Eaters

Some say we live on the FIRE FAMILY FARM... well thanks, cause now we are trying to live up to that name!! Ha ha... yeah right!!! Although we are working our way up there... slowly but surely!!

So with that being said, may I please introduce you to our 2 newest members of the crazy farm...

SPIDEY (named by Trey cause he wanted it to be Spiderman, but we shortened it up)
&
CHOY (Named by Brynkli & Sissy...even though it's supposed to be TROY (from High School Musical) but no one can really pronounce the "TROY" part of it, as it always sounds like "CHOY" so now that's what stuck!)

So with much thanks to Papa Bingham...who gave our daddy the brilliant idea that we needed a goat to eat away our 4 acres worth of weeds!! Well, we got 2 baby (3 months old) Pygmy DWARF goats. They are so cute.. but honestly... (this is my side of the argument...) ARE THEY HONESTLY GOING TO EAT THAT MANY WEEDS? 4 ACRES WORTH? Well......I HOPE SO!!!

I need to get some other pictures with the rest of the kids, but for now, I was able to sneak a couple of Brynkli in the "GOAT PLAYHOUSE"... oh yes... they have their own playhouse now!! :) The girls thinks it's the best thing ever!! And are so proud of their daddy for building such a cool one!!

Wood Cuttin' Fools

We had a great day yesterday!! Went out cuttin' wood!

Our family and the Johnson's took a ice chest full of drinks and lunch items and headed for the woods! We went up (not too far from our house) to a place called Little Hell's Canyon.
We found a great spot with lots of dead trees, a huge pond, (made from all the rain water), and all kinds of cool sights!









As you can tell, the kids were great helpers! They entertained themselves pretty dang good! First, by climbing trees, next, pickin' the Juniper berries... (Cazbie thought these were great eatin'), next, the pond... first it was skipping rocks, then it was takin' off the shoes and wading in the water, next thing we know, we turn around to see all the kids (still fully dressed) up to their necks!! They had a great time!! Except when it came time to dry off... no towels, no extra clothes... just the SUNSHINE that was coming in and out of the clouds!!


I got a little video of one of the trees fallin' that John was cuttin on...
Got some pics of the quad pulling the trailer behind it loaded full of firewood... see... we parked on one side of the pond, found the most shallow part, waded through, got to the other side where the good trees were... Loaded the trailer full of wood then 2 people would drive it over to the otherside again where the trucks were parked, and stacked it all up!


This was so cool... one of the neat "sights" I was talking about above...
It was a tree that Uncle David had found and began to cut down... as it fell over, he found that the roots of the tree had attached itself to this huge rock! It was all wrapped up in tree roots... pretty cool!!


Lots of fun... lots of work... good eating... and GREAT COMPANY!!

I know you all think we are a bunch of "hicks" but hey... you can sell a truckload for $180... so why not spend a 1/4 the day cuttin and hangin out with the fam!

It's actually not too bad of a mess! Considering I gave her a whole piece... and she devoured the entire thing!

The entire time she just kept saying...

"mmm, ummmm, ummmm, mmmm, ummmm!!!

It definately kept her busy for close to an hour!

Bandaids help EVERYTHING feel better!

"Mommy, Brynkli threw a car at me!"

"Sorry buddy, are you ok?"
"Noooooo!!"
(I look down to
see a puddle of blood all over his face!)
"What on earth happened?"

this point, he doesn't care what happened... he just knows there's blood and he
needs a bandaid immediately!!
I get him a bandaid (after I get the bloody
nose to quit bleeding...)
"Thanks mommy, that's feels better now!"

Bandaids were the best inventions!! Kids think they make EVERYTHING feel better!!
**Along with one of mommy's kisses that is!!

Look!! There's a cat in the sky!

John was outside working on the yard when he came in to ask where the camera was... There is a beautiful cloud with the rays of the sun shining around the outer edges... Come see!
So we take the camera out.. take a few pics... go inside and decide to upload the pics... as we are looking at them, the kids (can't remember which one said it..) suddenly say...

"Look!! There's a cat in the sky!!"

The cat has like a football shaped face... front paws, the tail up in the air... sitting on it's hind legs, has eyeballs, and it's nose....Ha ha!! So cute, there really was a "Cat in the Sky"

I love sitting outside looking at the clouds and each of us taking turns finding an animal in the sky! There's always "Something" fun to make out of it!!

Geo Cashing

It's Monday, Family Night... what should we do?




Brynkli, Corban, Sissy, Luke, Hunter, Baylee, Cazbie, Trey, & Alex



We all hopped on some quads and went "GEO CASHING". It was about a 20 minute quad ride from the house... then about 3-4 mile hike down into a canyon/valley area where some old Indian Ruins are. Very fun, the Verde river ran down in the bottom, we skipped rocks, found the "treasure box" and exchanged treasures!!

For those that don't know what GEO CASHING is... Look it up! It's fun. There's spots all over AZ (every state actually) But basically you look up the area, use the GPS coordinates, and go on your "treasure hunt". Very fun for the smaller kids. You get to the area, look around for the hidden box and open it up! There is a note book inside showing who was there last, the date, what they found in the box and what they left! We let each of the kids pick a "treasure" out of the "treasure box" and then they each put something back in for the next people!! (Can be anything, a dollar, a small toy, a "treasure" of some kind.)

We went to this one down in the canyon by the Verde, and found some cheesy little toys for the kids. But they LOVED IT! We skipped rocks, and took pics on the Rocks that had the engravings on it. (Sorry but the "WORD" for those "engravings on the rocks" just escaped my mind...)

The following family night, we went again! It was getting close to dark though, so we had to hurry!! It was down by the limestones... again, more Indian Ruins.. but still fun!!

The kids asked if we could go on a "Treasure Hunt" EVERYDAY!!! "We'll have to see about that"

Oh yea.... Sissy was wonderin... "Are the Indians gonna get mad at us for climbing on their rocks?"

Uncle Tyler found a Bullsnake!

Tyler found a snake out front of Uncle David's on 4th of July. Everyone was trying to be brave enough to hold it!

Trey is still deciding if he trusts to touch it or not! How do you like the distance Brynkli is keeping between her and the snake... I'll touch it, but I'm staying behind Trey!

I will just tell you that John loves when we call to say... "Um there's a snake outside" "Can you come catch it".... He's got a snake stick and all!! I am the "QUEEN SNAKE FINDER" as my kids would tell ya. Our first snake of the season was a 4 foot 8 inch Bullsnake... John found it as we were cleaning out the garage, it was slithering up the side of the house. Same day... we found another one!!

This year has been the year of the snakes!! For those that don't know... we live in Paulden, which is about 30 miles north of Prescott, AZ. We live about 6 miles off the highway, and about 1 1/2 of those miles are dirt road! We live on 4 acres of dirt so there is PLENTY of roaming room for all kinds of creepy crawly things.... (We do have Dogs and Chickens so that helps!)

Over the course of 2 days... I personally found 7 snakes!! All bullsnakes THANKGOODNESS!! And they were all less than a 1/2 mile of our house!

We were headed for home and saw a HUGE snake in the road...The kids and I (being in the car) called John... he came quickly, caught it, put it in his bucket, and we headed for home... as we were driving off... HERE IS ANOTHER SNAKE!! So John catches it and just as he gets it in his bucket... He sees ANOTHER one!! How bizzarre... 3 bullsnakes, in 5 mins time, and ALL 3 of them are at least 4 FEET!!

I just have to say, that I don't fully mind finding snakes as long as they follow a few simple rules...

1- They are NOT Rattlers! (Bullsnakes eat Rattlers, so I like the Bullsnakes)

2- I don't have to get near them

3- The kids stay BACK... The Bullsnake is a very doscile snake, but are still creepy!

4- They don't travel "home" in my car!!

Yes you guessed it... John LOVES bringing the snakes home to put them into the GOFER holes!

Oh yeah!! A few weeks ago, the kids and I were at Aunt Andra's... John was working out of town, Uncle David was at the Fire Station, Brok was gone... next oldest guy there was Alex (15). So we were all having a picnic out back for lunch... All of a sudden one of the kids is yelling about a snake! Andra and I run over, confirm that there is in fact a snake and start yelling at Alex to "JUST CATCH IT" " IT ISN'T GOING TO HURT YOU" "HURRY IT'S GOING AWAY" "GRAB IT"!!!! (Yes we were yelling at him, but neither one of us were brave enough to grab it) Well, it was freaking Alex out too bad, so we called the FIRESTATION!! Ha ha!! Funniest thing... So Uncle David and his crew drive the firetruck over to the house, and ask the kids where it is.... Funny thing.... The other FIREFIGHTERS were VERY afraid of the snake TOO!!! Uncle David was the HERO... The only one brave enough to grab it and take it off somewhere else!!

4th of July Fun

This was a pretty intense game of kickball... who won again? I just remember the ball popped!!

4th of July was so fun for our little family! We stayed HOME!! We had Papa and Gamma Bingham, Uncle Mike, Kristi, Londyn, Kyrbi, Chad, Ryker, Uncle Tyler, Uncle Tanner and 2 of his friends, Rick and Harrison. We hung out at Aunt Andra and Uncle David's house and ended up with 80 people in their little home!! It was crazy but way fun!! We had some delicious food! We ate all day long! We had a pretty intense game of kickball going on! We found a bullsnake out front!! We went on a quad ride, some went down to the Verde River, we swam, played games, took naps... did I mention we ate alot!?! And for the fireworks we went over to the Old Home Manor... sat out on the grass and oooowed and awwwed!!
